This year, His Excellency Ambassador Xiao Junzheng chose Lod as the host city, holding the championship at Hapoel Lod, the renowned table tennis club founded by Shlomo Abramovici. His son, Itzik Abramovici, with over 30 years of experience in table tennis, serves as the organizer and head coach.
Hapoel Lod offers classes for both children and adults, focusing on developing young players under the guidance of qualified coaches.
The recent championship saw the participation of Ambassador Xiao and members of his diplomatic team.
The Israeli side was represented by Aron Atias, Director General of Lod Municipality, Meir Itzhak, Director of the Table Tennis Federation, as well as Shlomo and Itzik Abramovici.
The event attracted a large number of young players and an enthusiastic audience. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, Ambassador Xiao and his team joined the young players for table tennis matches.
